I think we've had all the below: - Unstable club at boardroom level - Absolute dearth of professional management - Loss of much of the continuity of the club behind the scenes - Poor early results as a result of the above - Poor confidence as a result of poor early results - Poor further performances as a result of poor confidence - Even worse confidence as a result of the boos and the league position. I really don't envy these lads. Were you perfect in your twenties? Absolutely immune to criticism, crisis of confidence, and shattered morale in the workplace? I've recovered from my initial knee-jerk reaction. Let's give it a few games.
Trouble is, that game was winnable and definitely drawable.. Must admit I expected better from our new manager, that was just as bad a first game In charge that I can remember.
I think he came with a 'stop the rot' mentality and it backfired. I'm curious to see what he does next. If it's shít, I'll criticise
Let them have the ball in their half seemed to be much of the plan…. And I didn’t even see the snore fest of the first half. Build a team around the press…. Then don’t use the press. Just seems weird to me that we’re still not using our apparent strengths.
I agree with that. The whole stadium reacts positively when we actually press for a minute or so, because we know that works with our players. Daft not to use it.
