Ok, Morais was the other one, but only after we'd been relegated. During bad runs, plenty of people have called for the manager to go, but there have always been plenty thinking he should be given more time. Even during Johnson's magnificent string of losses or at the end of Keith Hill's tenure they still had the support of many on here. The poll from last week had 59% in favour of getting rid of Schopp, but I'm sure that must be well up after the two catastrophic results this week. Plenty of usually very measured posters are saying that in their opinion he has to go, and I include myself in that group! Surely Conway and co must at the very least be considering getting rid?
Yes morais but they had to sack morais clueless and we had season tickets to shift. Johnson was under alot of pressure from fans but I'd piggy back him from Sunderland to swap with this clown now.
Oh great I've knocked away games on the head and home games are becoming abit of a choir. When its season ticket sale time he will be long gone unless he improves his 8% win ratio.
I think anyone who would vote ‘No’ in a new poll wouldn’t be doing so because they think Schopp has performed well, has the answers, will definitely turn it around, etc. They’d just be someone who advocates for more time and patience. Ultimately, if he was sacked, these people wouldn’t be bothered and would see it coming anyway.
Not impressed by Schopp at all. He doesnt seem to have a general plan for the team and lacks the charisma and leadership skills if Val. What they do in training is not showing itself on the pitch. For example our set pieces seem uncoordinated and our corners are now taken by our leading goalscorer ( which one would assume would be better employed trying to get on the end of crosses into the box)
Wouldn't lower myself just feels like some form of torture watching his football. Don't think ill sit there over winter freezing watching it.
I think cos Morais was quite a sexy appointment at the time with his Jose connections and his constant positivity in press conferences “believe” I really kept wanting him to be a success. I just don’t warm to this guy at all I’m afraid
Up to and including the Blackburn game, I was all for giving him more time. His team selections were always a case of having to pick the least bad option. But the last three games, wow. Some strange selections, and precious little to get excited about in our play. And his interviews have just made things worse, where he sounds like his plan is to score with our only chance and hope our opponents waste their chances.
What do you mean? There was nothing to fall for. He was their assistant coach from 2010-2013. That is an incontrovertible fact.
I think just before Simon Davey was finally sacked the board was pretty unanimous he had to go. For Morais the board wasnt fully decided whist we still had a chance - By the time we would have been unanimous he was already gone - I stopped at the services just before the M1 on the way back and found he had been fired within minutes of the final whistle The total capitulation at Derby and the fortuitous win by cheating Bolton luckily sent us down otherwise we may have stated the following season in the Championship with Morais in charge and been at least a year behind with our development
