I see they're still splitting the away end despite the other end looking a bit sparse.

Could be a bit of a scrum for tickets if they don't give us the whole end when we play there.

They've been doing it since 2016/17 - we were only given half of it then.

The whole stand holds about 4000 but they made the decision to split it for their promotion season to boost atmosphere. With the no go area in the middle I think it equates to about 1700 for away fans which ain’t many for a local Derby. It’s one game that concerns me for getting hold of a ticket I have to say.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know off the top of their head what the rules are re. minimum away fan allocation? Obviously 1.7k will be way over it but I wonder what clubs are legally allowed to get away with if they have a large home demand

Yeah it's a poor situation it being just up the road. Plenty will want tickets as always.

Are there season ticket holders in the singing bit? I know they were doing cheap tickets for that area when it was first used.

I live over in Shepley now so unfortunately in and amongst town and Leeds fans! My eldest lad who is 5 has been playing football with the Huddersfield town community scheme and he's brought home a booklet which includes loads of ticket offers for home fans and the Barnsley home game is included. I could get a ticket in the home end for £10 for me and my lad which is a cracking deal tbh, given that the away allocation will be no more than 2k then that is looking the likely option.
Regarding 'deals' for home fans, Huddersfield seem to put a lot of offers on to try and fill the ground but I haven't seen many incentives for away fans. Perhaps someone on here will know how it works but I always thought any home club offering a promotion for home fans also had to offer away fans the same deal so not sure how they get around it.

Its 2000 or 10% if the ground holds less than 20K. Huddersfield holds 24K so its a minimum of 2000 away tickets must be availlable

    EFL Rules on away fans

34.2.1 Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club’s certified capacity, if less than 2,000. The League may, on the prior written application of a Club, suspend this Regulation or reduce the figure either for a particular League Match or for a period of time.

Live in Skelmanthorpe same boat as you most of my mates are Huddersfield fans and they seem to of had quite a few offers on throughout previous seasons. They were offering university students tickets for a £1 on limited availability a few years ago. I’m sure your allowed to charge home and away different prices as promotions (x) amount of times a season. For some reason I think it’s around 5 times but could be wrong.

Hope to go to around three away games before we go there which should easily be enough for a ticket even with only a 2,000 allocation. It's a shame though as a lot of people will miss out.
