    It's a tough one for me because I really hope that those who voted for it are punished heavily. Let them feel the full force of the cuts and have their lives dramatically made worse. That might sound horrible but I don't care they deserve it for their selfishness. At the same time people like you shouldn't be punished.

    20 percent rise I bet will happen in council tax if that’s true. I can see things getting ugly soon. People on streets smashing stuff up. It will certainly destroy my family and we are all working class.

    Nope, don't feel terrible - with you all the way on this. Brexit-voters can be forgiven for their decision in 2016, but not for 2019, when it was crystal-clear what the repercussions of this ****-show would be.

    This is the worst bit about it.

    The so-called 'Red Wall' has essentially gambled on Brexit being worth having to endure a majority Tory government for (likely) at least the next 8 years.

    I would suggest that this is demonstrably stupid and a Patrick Schmidtty bet.

    Perhaps, however, the thought of 71 year old Ron Mondeo (rt.) in his double-garaged new-build 4 bed, sitting at home beneath a portrait of Farage and Her Majesty, gas fire blazing, stroking his new (old!!!) blue passport will compensate the good folk of Barnsley in the event that their council loses 6 million quid a year in funds. Just an idea.
