Should AFC Barnsley be resurrected but under a supporters community ownership model?

Is that something that would actually see the owners make way?

On the other hand, is there any potential new owner out there? I'm not so sure.

With utter apathy. It's a lovely idea in principle - but it's not Barnsley FC. With 74 seasons in England's second tier.

Hung up on that 74 yrs one. Sounds a bit Wednesdayish massive haha..we deserve to be where we are because of how we play. History plays no part in it.

Mr Cryne bankrolled AFC for very similar reasons. Why not again?

would it be any better? I’m not sure there is much money from the community to buy the club or invest. If the BBS and the Conway out ‘plan’ is a barometer for community ideas then I don’t see much innovation either.

The fans need something or someone to unify them in my view. There are too many differing groups such as the supporters trust, the face book group the bbs etc.
It ought to be the supporters trust but they seem to be all too conservative

The remaining home games should be boycotted by fans . ! It’s time to take action against these charlatans

I think a group of local reasonably well off fans is our best hope, the ground ownership issue will put most off. In terms of sending a message to the current lot, I'm not renewing and gonna try Penistone Town home games for a bit and sit back.
