...do you think we'll need? Assuming we don't sell anyone.

I don't post very often but i'm an avid reader to keep me update from far away lands.

I personally think a box to box CM would be priority. If Dougal is not fit, one injury to Mowatt and McGeehan and we're really light in CM. With our CB's not battle hardened for the championship or in anyway proven without any protection it could be open season for opposition.

Another LB and Striker would be next in line and then another CB.

Left back and defensive mid are a must for me. Another striker and a more experienced CB would be handy but could probably just about cope without. Be interesting to see if we utilise the loan market this year.

These are my thoughts almost exactly. If the DM was about 30, someone who's played most of their career in the champ I'd be delighted. LB to be quick and well positioned. Pinillos is solid when holding back, think if he's encouraged to go forward he's not fast enough to cover ground if someone gets behind him.

Would like a holding cm and a powerful striker, ideally a left back too but if not will settle for the first two

Wouldn't mind one loan signing providing no recall clause and we get the option at the end of the season, similar to the Bahre deal.

At least that way if the player performs we get 1st grabs.. If not, no massive outlay.. Maybe that is worth looking at for someone with experience who maybe just can't get into a regular starting position in the prem. Use the extra wage uplift as no transfer fee, but not at the expense of demoralising our own players on the wage issue.

Don't think we need another striker providing Moore stays, which now looks likely. We'll likely go one up front this season a lot more often, meaning you have Woodrow, Moore and Miller (who I think will show promise), with Wilks, Chaplin and Brown all capable of playing up front in a two.

Definitely a left back, and probably another CM, but I think Pinnilos will be much improved with someone like Thomas or Chaplin providing better support than Thiam does defensively. His pace won't be exposed as much.

Centre back wise I think Sibbic could cover the role of the fourth choice player. All depends on how much budget we've got left to invest, or are willing to invest. Might save some back for January and go with what we have.
