Club captain in time of emergency for the club, I guess he must have played for Wales tonight? otherwise Ryan Giggs is a C U Next Tuesday and unless his strong push to come back to play were ignored, he’s no better.

Didn’t play. I doubt if he ever will.

Come on, be fair, Mr Giggs always put country before club and was never absent from any Wales get together.

Whats the rule that prevents him from playing then if the international match was yesterday?

They've got another one - a friendly - in Albania on Tuesday.

At least we can consider that he might be getting a lot out of the coaching set up there, and also he's playing with some top players.

We don't know if we even tried to get him back. I'd like to think as club Captain Davies would have asked to released.

How could he asked to be released when they are playing in Albania on tuesday ? There is every chance that the squad might travel today but I have read one or two sly digs at Davies , which are unbelievable . He has been called up by his country which is an honour & as a fan base & a club we should be delighted for him .

"Gaffer the club that pay my wages and I'm captain of need me. They are going to have to play someone who hasn't even trained with the players before. Seen as I'm 3rd choice any chance I could go and play and I'm sure Barnsley fc would be so greatful they would pay to send me out Sunday to join up with you. Let's all work together club and country keep everyone happy."

    Like that?

This. I’m sure a couple of keepers have done this recently in League One, might have been at Bradford but I can’t remember. Giggs is a complete arsehole of a bloke though so can’t imagine he’d entertain it.
