Don’t suppose it was anyone’s child or grandchild on here that saw me accidentally drop a fiver walking up Old Mill Lane towards the Courthouse and came and gave it back to me? I was a bit taken aback at the time, and perhaps wasn’t as grateful as I should have been, so if anyone knows who it was drop me a PM.
Spent the drive home telling my lad what a lovely thing it was to do and how for some people losing a fiver means not eating for a day. Never even thought about that kid’s circumstances when I took the fiver back off him. Like I say, if anyone was the adult with the lad or heard the story when their kid got home from the match, let me know.
Well done that young man,I started using cash again a bit lately and sadly dropped 40 pounds out of my pocket when getting a ten pound note out to pay for something, hope whoever found it was someone who really needed the cash ,I have since bought a wallet because these modern notes are so slippy they not suitable for the pocket
