Enjoy. Especially the latino commentary.
I remember that game well. We were to a man absolutely rubbish, especially in the second half. Even Higgy wasn't great. Seem to remember him spending most of the game walking up and down the wing. And yet that winner - absolutely sublime.
Come on, even if you don't agree with him, it's not that outlandish a statement. I've been watching us since 1987, and he's probably the single most talented attacking player I've ever seen for us. Some of the things he did (like that 3rd goal) were absolute moments of genius. For passion and drive, Redfearn is definitely ahead, but for speed of thought, deftness of touch, and the ability to pull an incredible stroke of matchwinning magic out of the bag, I genuinely can't think of anyone of seen for us in Higgy's league.
Had we of won at Wembley against Ipswich it'd be universal agreement that he was the best weve had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There was one on youtube in French showing Brian Howard's last minute goal against Liverpool. Loved listening to the commentator going 'ooh la la' over and over.
Probably Ronnie Glavin, Tommy Taylor, Mick McCarthy, Redfearn and about 15 others would have to be gotton past before anyone considered Hifgnett our best player. No offence to Craig talent that he is. We really need to play Wallsall more often.
He was better than both Glavin and Redfearn. Had he got us up, noone would even question it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Difficult to compare players from different eras as the game changes (i know it's still football). Can't we just accept that we've had some really great players and Higgy is up there with the best.
