    I like him.
Bigger goal threat than Mama, Behre, Moncur, Victor or Brown.
    Plus he can drive forward.
He would be in my starting lineup.

    Agreed.

See, when you talk sense you make sense.

He needs to start a league game and show what he can do

Liked him last season, but like Moncur he was better coming on as sub than as a starter.

I'm sure he came as a striker cum winger.

Agreed. He also provides better cover for the full-back than a centre mid shoe-horned into a wide role.

Hedges looks good at left back & puts in intelligent crosses - maybe Cavaré should watch him! I'd definitely start him there on Saturday- incidentally, I thought Ben Williams had an excellent game as holding midfielder

Interesting to see what might happen in the fullback areas, we've a huge amount of competition on the left side if Hedges is now considered an option there.

Recall we converted a couple of wide midfielders/wingers into decent full/wing backs. Archdeacon, Beresford, Robinson, Broddle to think of but a few. Potentially a good idea if our existing fullbacks aren't putting in good enough quality balls and are seen as key to our play.

    I agree with that.

He’s had some good performances coming off the bench, particularly the first few games of last season, but never really showed much when starting.

If he does start performing when starting games and gets a decent run in the side without injuries, I feel like he could develop a huge amount and be a big player for us.

Fully fit he is a definite starter for me. Wing back or winger. I think he could work well with Thiam as a fullback, a bit like Aidy did with Adam.

He’s more effective in a forward position.
Too good a striker / winger to be playing full back.
He will score goals given a chance.

That's one of the biggest problems when Thiam or Moncur start wide left. Whoever is playing left back gets shafted when the opposition full back overlaps whilst Moncur or Thiam stands on the halfway line.

I'd like to agree, but last time I criticised Moncur I was tarred & feathered, as he had set up an amazing move, despite giving up in the second half & winning man of the match anyway just for that. Moncur is a number 10, he doesn't do enough milage to play on the wing. Thiam is a bit of a different beast, as he moves into the centre a lot and Moore drifts out wide.

    Jury still out regarding Moncur.
Commentators saying he has tremendous skill.
Well if he has then I’ve yet to see him dominate a game or even look menacing in a game.

If you have never seen him look menacing, then I take it you have never watched him , He always looks menacing , its sometimes his end product lets him down but he certainly one of our more skilful players & I feel sure he would walk in most third division sides .

I like hedges glad he is back fit as he has been unlucky with injurys but I think the keeper should of done better with that goal last night.

I agree, but his lack of work rate means he really only works as super sub, or number 10. It's a shame, as I agree there is a great footballer in there.

Maybe the Right Back should watch for a shoehorned Left Back?

Just to be clear, I think Moncur is brilliant with the ball at his feet. But the other aspects of his game let him down and are the reason why he's in and out of a League One side.

Also had more injuries than all those players put together. I like him more end product but only usually impacts a game coming off the bench.

This keeps getting said yet he rarely ever really as any impact. He’s had plenty of chances yet never held down his place.
