Really interesting article on our former manager https://theathletic.com/2457402/202...ds-rehabilitation/?source=user_shared_article
He's took on a hard task at untied club on a big downer from wilder leaving. Hammered last week if he can re group them to beat Chelsea and get a few wins in the league he deserves alot of credit.
I’m hoping he does enough to impress the Sheffield Utd boardroom whilst taking them down. I think his spell at Leeds shows he might struggle with the expectations of a bigger club and hopefully they’ll struggle at the start of next season if he gets the job full time.
He really underachiever at Leeds he then got sacked bielsa came in and took the exact same team to the play offs. I think there only having him at united as no one would want the job at minute to have a relegation on the c.v then they will appoint someone in summer.
I think he’s doing a pretty good job with the U23’s so it’s a tough one. If he got the managers job & then gets sacked where does he go from there? He’s not going to go back to been U23’s coach so then what does he do for his next job? All his daughters are at school age so he’s probably moving away on his own to work at a club like he did with Hibs. There’s a lot to be said for staying at Sheff Utd looking after the U23’s. He only has to speak to Jason Tindill about the expectation of managing a newly relegated side.
