I can see it now when (rather than if) we are relegated . But when we sold Pinnock, Lynsey and Moore just after being promoted and replace them with young unproven players what did we all expect really? The credibility of this board of this board should never been in doubt . It wasn't in doubt to Daniel Stendel who could see profit not the fans were who this board are loyal to. I feel for the fans who love this club and after seeing the club promoted after being relegated saw the basis of the teams success sold for peanuts in todays football terms. But I feel for the players too who were thrown in at the deep end to a much harder league than they experienced when many were just not prepared and in some cases in a foreign country too at such a young age. Of all the signings made, every manager knows they don't all press on the become superstars overnight if ever in some cases. Anyway good luck to the lads and headcoach who will do their best but as to whether they can achieve the great escape? well that we shall see.
The controlling owners of this club are an utter disgrace I have barely been due to last summers transfer activity - ripping up a settled team and replacing with young lads with no experience. I haven’t been since Stendel left.
I have just returned from holiday in Edinburgh and our city tour guide is a hearts fan. He asked me about Stended and said he is doing a good job at Hearts. He would have done ar Oakwell I think if the boArd had nto sold so readily during the summer. He like us lost his faith in them.
