The club has said a Championship club owes us, everything else is guesswork, albeit you don’t have to be a Sherlock Holmes to significantly narrow the culprits down.

It’s hull for MacDonald. It’s not really even a secret, Hull haven’t hid that they haven’t paid for him.

 

So why isn't he dragged back... Its like shoplifting

 

I was referring to the actual statement the club put out the other day.

Yes it did, some are posting that it’s Wigan for Moore. I was just saying it’s guesswork who they were referring to, but could easily be narrowed down

This was the only part of our statement that I could find fault with. If you're going to say a club haven't paid us for a player then the club should be outed or don't say anything to begin with. All it does is make speculation where innocent clubs get named as a possibility and if we outed the club we'd be giving an heads up to other clubs about doing business with them.

I hardly think it's worth fans concerning ourselves with, but it's really common for transfer fees to be paid in instalments. It helps both clubs for FFP and cashflow purposes.

And we can still use that money that's coming in, we just apply the same payment schedule to incoming transfers.

 

It's a legal issue. Publicising it like that would be stupid.

 

If that's the case, it seems like an extremely spurious argument to me, bearing in mind the facts that: a) they must have done their own medical on him, and b) they're still playing him. Surely their only way of not paying for him would involve attempting have the deal cancelled?
