Not often you see three goals in a match, three different scorers and all have been at us.

A front line of Hammill - Moore - McBurnie - Barnes
If only Ganaye had got that and secured that at the beginning of last season.
Decisions made that has cost the club millions.

If we had got they we would still have Hecky and be top half of the Championship now - and not In the 1st Division.

And I’ve said previously- there is a case of bringing in young players.
But not under the past arrangements.

    What a shocker it's Gauthier's fault.

It was confirmed that the error was on Swansea's side, but you keep spouting your ignorant ********.

I have asked this question before without response .
Why did Leicester recall him and let him rot in the reserves when it was obvious that he would improve with us .
    Anybody ?

We DID have Hammill and Barnes. Unfortunately Adam was not hugely effective last season. Barnes was superb but not our player and not in a million miles of our price range.
Moore wasnt even in the frame at the start of last season so I don't get how that's anyone's fault and McBurnie was a slip up somewhere.
So your argument boils down to McBurnie.

It would have been great to have kept Barnes all season

Didn't Leicester change manager so the new guy wanted to have a look at him maybe? Was puzzling to say the least.

Fair to say if we had had McBurnie & Barnes all season we probably would have stayed up.

Considering how close we were I think that is almost certain. Both beyond the club's control, glad we haven't used loans this time but still vunerable in Jan everyone has a price as they do at nearly all clubs.

I think January will show our new owners real long term intentions. That said, if the likes of Lindsay were to leave for big money (i.e. £5 million plus), that would be good business in my book, if it is re-invested, as we have Jackson as well & Fryers as cover if needed.

........ ‘Adam was not hugely effective last season’ ......
Another one with a short memory.
Adam put a huge effort in last season.

    The team recruitment was unbalanced.
Ok - we didn’t get Moore at the start of the season - but everyone knew we needed front players.
Remember the 5 wingers comment in relation to me saying we were desperately short of forwards.

We were relegated last season because of:

    1) Recruitment of unbalanced squad in the summer.
    2) Appointment of Morais.

There’s a common denominator in that lot.

These are all what ifs, Hecky publicly stated that he wanted out for sometime so this could’ve created unrest within the dressing room

All we did is help Barnes and McBurnie acclimatise to the championship, our ground work and someone else’s gain. I’m pleased for them both and always look out to see if they’re on the scoresheet.

We always knew their undoubted potential

I'm one of Adam's biggest fans. I don't doubt his effort last season. He was not that effective though. Fact.
You've just shifted from "we should have had Moore" to "well ok we weren't after him but we needed a striker". When does any club NOT need a good striker? That's stating the bl**ding obvious.
Anyone with half a brain cell knew last season would be a struggle given the players we'd lost. It doesn't make you Einstein to suggest you were the Prophet in the wilderness because you thought we would have problems bedding so many new young players in.
If McBurnie had started the season we'd have stayed up and the name of Morais would never needed to have blotted our history book.

    ........ ‘I wasn’t the prophet’.

Probably not .......... but if you look at the posts around the 01/17 debacle and then the posts following the summers half baked recruitment drive then you find that I’m the nearest thing we have to a prophet.

The general consensus on here at that time of ‘we’ll be reight’ we’re ALL proved to be WRONG, wrong and WRONG.

Well my he around Jan 17 was we have given up on trying to get in the play offs. My view on the summer recruitment was we will go down. I stated that in August 17 I thought we would be relegated. Did you say that?

I stand corrected Nudger. You are the prophet. Everything you say is well thought out, incisive, cogent, groundbreaking and light years beyond the thought processes of the rest of us. Your intelligence knows no bounds and we all live in the sunlight of your magnificence.

    Or summat.
