Happy birthday, Barry. Thanks for the memories. I've just finished Barry's autobiography and found it to be a decent read. Before I started it, I thought the chapters covering the late 70s would be ones that would grab my attention, but I was wrong. The ones covering his early days in the North East, and his post-BFC days, first at Leeds United then later at Penistone Sports Centre, were just as interesting. There were some nice contributions from several ex-Reds too, including Eric Winstanley, Mick McCarthy, and Neil Redfearn. They all said complimentary things about Barry, who seems to have been genuinely well liked by everyone who met him.
