    I started going to matches in early 00’s so Bruce was my first Barnsley hero and he’s probably still my favourite striker I’ve ever seen play for us.

    They say you should never meet your heroes but I’ve met Bruce a couple of times and not only was he a class striker he’s also a class human being. The work he’s done for our community and continues to do is tremendous. He arrived at the club as a young lad from London that had never even heard of Barnsley let alone knew where it was, but he’s now very much an adopted Tarn lad!

    I believe one of his sons plays for our academy, hopefully one day he can replicate his dad and bang one in in front of the Ponty and give it the old ‘Bruce, Bruce, Bruce’ celebration!
