Futurity Trophy held over from Doncaster's abandoned meeting last week. To my mind the present market has got this all wrong. Kinross is best-priced 15/8 favourite at the moment, whereas MOGUL is available at 9/4. It may be that Pricewise has gone with Kinross. He was a very impressive winner of a Novice Stakes race at Newmarket by 8 lengths. But that was a Class 4 race. Mogul won a Group 2 race at Leopardstown last time out by 1.25 lengths. Mogul cost £3.4M as a yearling and is currently 8/1 second favourite for next year's Derby, for which Kinross is 25/1. Yet the odds suggest that Kinross has a 35% chance of winning this and Mogul only a 31% chance. Aidan O'Brien has other runners in the race but the booking of son Donnacha and the general vibes from Ballydoyle suggest that Mogul is considered the number one chance here. He rates good value against the hype surrounding Kinross's debut performance. I would be backing MOGUL at 9/4.
