1. We have three points more than I anticipated from these two fixtures. 2. Given our squad age and experience level, a two goal defeat is not a disaster - we didn't cave, which bodes well. 3. There is every prospect of getting another three points next Saturday, notwithstanding Charlton's good start. 4. We have Chaplin, Oduor and Schmidt (and others) still to deploy. 5. We can now keep our feet on the ground, and work steadily towards safety and stabilisation in this league. COYR!
to be honest mr kaht i would have been well happy with 2 pts from these 2 fixtures, so as i see it we're 1 up, and i THINK we've addressed our weak areas even though the fix will not happen overnight
I was very nervous before last weeks game. Had no idea if these players were good enough for this standard and feared a hammering. Not nervous at all before today’s match. I suspected we’d loose and am gutted to be proved right but I’ve seen enough to think we’ll stay up and surprise a few people. They’ll be some ups and downs but we’ll get stronger as season goes on And Fulham got a good win today making our win last week all the more impressive
I'm glad I'm not at home to hear praise or grumble with them being top of the league and all that but I still think we could finish above them once the season settles diwn.
We are going to be a side that gets better and gels as the season goes on, so we need as many points, by any means, early in the season to not put pressure on us at the death. Good start. Need to keep Stendel`s unbeaten home run going this week.
