With some of the recent team selections, its almost like Southgate is trying to get sacked Absolutely baffling
There must be something behind the scenes we don’t know about, Grealish must be a proper arsehole. He played against Wales and got the man of the match and not to feature in the last two games is baffling. He’s clearly a talent and one of the better players we have in this nation. But for a talent like his to not get selected for England and still playing at villa, how another ‘big’ club hasn’t taken a chance of him leaves me scratching my head too. The only answer I can think of is that he’s a proper wrong en to have around the team.
I think it’s Southgate trying to remain neutral due to him breaking Covid rules earlier in the year. Would look a bit daft considering his stance on Foden & Greenwood recently.
We needed someone to get on the ball and create something, run at them, beat a man. He rightly takes off Rashford - who never did anything but walk around and give the ball away all game - and replaced him, on the wide left, with the most out and out number nine there is in the premier league. Nothing wrong with bringing on the man in form - but he’s a centre forward. Kane was off the pace, didn’t make runs he ought to have, if you want to bring Calvert-Lewin on do that. Oh well, Grealish will come on to play on the right instead then? Nope. We’ll bring Sancho on. I’m not sure he touched the ball. He seems to have lost the plot does Mr Southgate. He’s not picking on form, he hasn’t got control of the squad from a disciplinary point of view, and let’s be honest, he’s not a good manager anyway. His boro record speaks for itself, he got the team the Wally with the Brolly had in Europe relegated. His quality is as a calm, measured statesman. He’s not that at the moment, so he brings nothing.
Tbf Foden and Greenwood was on an official England trip and his wasnt. Also, how do you explain Walker playing?
I think in terms of picking players then surely misbehaving and breaking work protocols while at work and representing work is worse?
I think he's still pissed off that he embarased him whilst u21 coach. Wasn't the laughing gas story whilst he was in Southgates u21 team?
