I really do think we've been worked out but this was something I expected and did a thread about after the Reading game which seems a million miles away did and I'm sure so does the win at Wolves for those lucky few that went. It's hard really isn't it but it's something I think a lot of people tbf could see coming. The links in the Reading, Aston Villa and today the Fulham game are there for all to see. It's something Barnsley and more importantly in that. The coaching staff and anylsis are going to have to look at and solve because with Newcastle and Bristol to come before the end of the month at Oakwell and Brentford away next Saturday Barnsley are going to be trialed by patence and a three man midfield which was prevalent in much of the last month. I've been clear I think how I see it going and now we are at a stage where it must be changed and stopped. Oakwell was quite today. I think the realisation had crept in with a lot and the hysteria of season 2015/2016 had gone in a way. With the lack of short term loans I hope the club are well aware of all the free transfers that are available. Off the top of my head Diego Poyet would be a good recruit and he can play the 6 which we need. Our players need to smarten up and quickly because that will be going around all the clubs in the championship. How many of our players get involved in nonsense today. It's okay if you are good enough to be able to switch on and off from that but ours aren't imo. Winnall's a lot better imo if he doesn't get involved in that. No this isn't me been nasty but it's something I can be vunerable to myself.
Didn't make much a difference in the games I mentioned above. I think in the last month Scowens out done him. Look at the second Reading goal
What's to work out? We are what we are, which is a team built on a shoestring budget. A few injuries, and we're not the same team because we have little strength in depth. No hourihane, no White, no Payne to bring off the bench to give something different, and Adam Hamill well below par. Not ideal against a team of Fulhams quality. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I don't need to Hourihane is the best player we have by a long long way. Not only that he provides leadership and inspiration as well as goals and assets. He has not been at his best over the last few games presumably due to the knock he's been carrying but he still is our talisman. We struggle without him. You like win percentages look at Conor's over the last 18 months.
Everyteam will have injurys so don't use that excuse to me. We've not got that many to be honest. You have to recruit for when this happens. IMO it wasn't done in the summer. Not my problem
We've won 0 in 5. Captain Hourihanes been involved in 4 of them. I've seen all 5. He's not been that good in any.
I'm not making excuses, of course other teams have injuries. We're not other teams financially though are we? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
We're a young, inexperienced team Phil, we need to be patient and maybe bring some additional players in when the transfer window opens. I'm not getting worried at this stage. We had our best player missing today and White is a big miss too. We have a small squad so it doesn't take much of an injury list to make a big difference.
''We are young'' We really aren't that young. You talk like it was 12 month ago. Marc Roberts 26. Tom Cairney Pontus Jansson Kyle Bartley All 25, all younger than Roberts. Newcastle come down on Tuesday night, they are quite a young team too. Lot's of 22/23/24 year olds. Just looked and remembered that the Newcastle CAPTAINS 22 YEAR OLD. Kpekawa only player younger than that of the starters
Hemsworth. Did you really just say you're vulnerable to getting involved in nonsense? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I take it you are aware that a couple of Newcastle players cost individually more than we have spent in the last 20 years.
Are you kidding? I said we are a young and inexperienced team and we are. Comparing us to Newcastle isn't really a good idea - how much did their team cost compared to us. Football at this level is not a level playing field so we need our full strength team all playing well and we need a bit of luck.
It's a champ club against champ club. Human vs Human. Why not compare? You are trying to cover up for these highly paid sportsmen by saying they are young and or inexperienced. I'm giving you fellow champ footballers that are younger
Aye and all cost more than our entire spend ever and paid more in a week than we pay in a year. Go to ****ing bed. And wake up following some ****er else that fits with your expectations.
Don't bother. I'm liking forward to Brentford. I'm with me mates, I'll be blindo and I'll see 11 players giving everything. We might win. We might not. Even ****ing Brentford, ****ing tin pot also rans will be spending more than us due to a richer owner. It's how it is. Piss with the **** you've got.
