We often come on here to moan about things but I have a good customer support story I have a Scotts Evergeen Lawn spreader (available from most good garden centres). The spring to control the flow rate has broken which means its not usable After a bit of a web search to see if I could buy a replacement drew a blank I emailed their customer support, they just sent me completely free of charge a replacement and apology for the problems I didn't even need to pay postage It restores your faith that not everyone is out to fleece you at every opportunity
In a similar vein the glass inner door on my oven blew in to pieces yesterday, apart from ruining a very nice chicken it sent glass everywhere when opened our lass emailed them (howdens, it’s a lamona 3300 oven if you are interested) and they coming to fit a new one Tuesday morning. Very nice as I’ve no idea if it’s guaranteed as it was in the house when we bought. I thought it was a bit cheeky to ask for reimbursement of £4 for the chicken though!
I once broke my Dell computer trying to fit extra memory . Got on phone to them they arranged to have it picked up from my work , fixed it putting in the extra memory and delivering back to my work within less than a week . All this even though my twelve months warranty had run out . Also when a couple of years later I was having bios problems I phoned them up they asked for my number told me to hang up and phoned me back to talk me through the problem and how to solve it which took me well over an hour being a thick lovely person . That’s great customer service imo
