Looked a different class today... Either making something happen or winning the ball back! Massive future!! UTP That's what someone posted on Twitter. Looks like they really rate him.
simply the best on the field by far not seen that kinda play in blue for a long time keep it up! bright future ahead #pufc Another one
He decided he wanted to play football to earn his wage rather than bench warm with little chance of ever getting a start when he plays in the same position as our best player.
I'd be very, very surprised if Hourihane isn't sold in January and Moncur isn't back with us filling the void and hopefully taking us forward. We could be looking at another £5/6/7 million for Connor which for us, to be taking in a combined, what, £17+ million in transfer revenue in a season, would be tremendous work.
Out of contract at the end of the season, you're talking half a million at most in January, if we're struggling we'd probably want to keep hold and then let him go for nowt.
I agree I can't see us getting any where near 7 million for a player who'll only play about 20 more games for us in from Jan
What a load of ********. Didn't back his own ability to be able to make an impact on our team. Weak personality. Not what we want or need.
Well, I have it on good authority that we rejected a £7m offer from Sunderland on deadline day. What that means for January, remains to be seen.
Hourihane def not guna play for us after Jan. We'll accept any reasonable bid to avoid getting nothing for him at end of season. Bit of a no brainier really
Was talking to my Posh supporting mate who said he's looked good at times but absolutely abysmal at others
I'm disappointed with the Moncur saga. I really rate him as a player and was happy we signed him. I can see that at the moment he doesn't fit easily into the system we play but hoped he would make it impossible not to play him rather than ******* off.
There is no way we would accept half a million for Hourihane in January. It'd be far more valuable to keep him til the summer then if he leaves for a free so be it but it's better financially if he's helped keep us up. If we get a really good offer, say £4 million plus, and felt Moncur could play and do what Hourihane does, we'd probably be willing to let him go, but we won't do it unless it's a ridiculous offer. As for replacements whenever he does eventually leave, McGeehan is indeed a good shout!
Genuinely? The way transfers work this would be public knowledge. If we were selling Mawson for 5m we would have snapped Sunderlands hand off for 7m
We cannot play Hourihane and Moncur in the same team and not going to drop our best player so what would you want the lad to do? Imagine the uproar if no matter how well he did in training which we don't see we saw one match him getting a start and Conor on the bench. He knew early doors his chances were limited so was pro active in doing something about it. Can't believe he's getting bashed for being a football player that wants to play football.
Hourhine will be gone come January and like said any decent offer that's him. Be lucky to get a couple of million. George moncur will be back from posh and I think we may go back to Luton Town for cameron mcgeehan.
