Just read the press interview with Gerhard Struber about George Miller showing up well in training and in with a shout. The lad is hardly a prolific goalscorer at any club or level he has so far played at so to expect him to do anything at championship level and in the present circumstances is asking a bit too much. Plus what about Schmidt ,who I would have thought was marginally higher in the pecking order. I think he deserves another run in the side unless he is not showing up much in training as
G Struber has suggested his team selection is influenced by. If that being the case Ritzmaier must be sh-thot on the training pitch.

I can't see any problem with putting him on the bench with the possibility of bringing him on against tired legs last 20.

If he offers something different then why not?

I thought he looked good in the pre-season. I know his stats suggest otherwise but he’s worth a chance. The regulars aren’t getting it done at the moment.

Miller must have summat about him, not as if just one manager liked him.

I like the ramifications of this thread and would like to add that if he gets his chance there is absolutely no way he will score. Absolutely no way! If he does I will stand on the tarn hall steps, etc. etc.

    That should do it.

I'd drop Brown n' put Simoes where Brown was playing and Bring in Miller to partner Woodrow.

Who knows, he may like Mads, come through much better without the fans there?

Think I’d go the other way around and perhaps bring Simoes on 2nd half / 60 mins in to use his pace against a tiring defence.

Hard to see Miller making much impact at this level after struggling for game time at Scunny in L2. Hope he proves me wrong like.
I’d definitely be dropping Ritzmaier for Odour too. Obviously playing because the coach brought him in but offers nothing from what I’ve seen to date and a LWB he will never be.
Never been. Bahre fan but when he was brought back in Jan/Feb I thought he had a real impact but then he was suddenly dropped and hasn’t been seen since. I’d give him a try because we need a creative spark, we look very predictable at the moment.

Ritz doesn’t offer ‘nothing’. He brings shape and structure which Struber is obviously a massive fan of, and it’s something the players have repeated in interviews when asked about what he’s brought to the team since being appointed.

His impact on the game is poor, but the reason Oduor has been hauled off a couple of times is because he won’t stick to a system all the time - when he has he’s looked brilliant. The trust isn’t there yet between him and Struber. So whilst playing Ritz hasn’t been the most inspiring from an attacking sense he has contributed to back to back clean sheets.

Bahre has that game where he just went missing after two games in a row of playing really well. Since then he had two disappointing cameos off the bench and hasn’t featured yet but he will. 8 games in 25 days so they’re all going to be playing at some point.

But I want to see him play in person when I'm at the ground. I'm calling conspiracy theory and he doesn't actually exist!!

Sometimes players have to “have a word with themselves”. Mowatt was like that when he left Leeds and finished up on loan at Oxford. Career going nowhere, unless he changed something in himself. Mads could be another. Remember we let Dave Speedy go on a free, went on to play in the top flight and for his country.
Miller being rejected on a loan at Scunthorpe, next stop is out of the game. If he’s showing up well in training and prepared to battle to save his career I’d give him a chance. Hope he’s reading this.

Not bothered if GS picks Glenn Miller as long as we get the three points tonight!

Same can be said about adeboyejo, I thought he showed glimpses of quality during league 1 last season but his loan moves this season don't seem to have been too successful.

The other thing to consider is he was 19/20 at Bradford and 20/21 at Scunthorpe. That's really young still and it was a car crash of a situation at Bradford, and judging by Scunthorpe's struggles this season compared to where they've been in recent years it doesn't look much better there.

Going out on loan is more about toughening up and being part of the first team, not just going there and getting double figures in goals. Especially if the style of football doesn't suit your game - which at Bradford it wouldn't have suited anyone who wasn't 6ft 6 and destined to have played in the 80's (quote from Bradford fans. They were an awful side).

Reality is Miller could play a couple of games for us and look dreadful. He could equally look half decent. Anyone getting in a panic over Struber's words in a press conference really needs to have a word with themselves.

If he picks Glenn Miller, he'll have to go with a 6-5-0-0-0 formation.

I remember people saying similar things about Ivan Toney when he played for us......

Sometimes it just takes time and luck.....

Yes but is this Miller another short arse?
I couldn't cope with watching anyone over 5 foot 3 in our forward line. I love the desperation of Thomas and Chaplin as our main attacking force !

Tbf Speedie was popular with fans and was a good player I think his transfer was more to do with a falling out with Clarky than not being good enough .
Lots of fans thought he had top league potential

Fish and chips being the main point of conflict apparently.
