    For years and years I’ve listened to Ponty End fans say how loud they were (when in the family stand you can hardly hear them), the East Stand be raucous (by East Stand standards) and yet not be heard. And then Ponty Enders saying away support awful when we’ve heard a continual noise all game sitting in East Upper.
    Could the club look into the acoustics??

    That time we played at Wigan when we took 4K and reached the play- offs, I noticed they had big speakers behind the goals facing the stand where we were. I’m sure their stands were ‘ miked up’ and coming out of those speakers because the noise of the home fans in their ‘singing end’ seemed disproportionate to their numbers. Now it could’ve simply been to the acoustics of the ground but it did seem that crowd noise was coming from the speakers.

    I actually heard far end of East Stand singing last night during a lull int Ponty.

    I remember reading years ago that at the Shay (Halifax Town) they played taped crowd noise recorded at Elland Road.
