    Genocidal regime.

    It’s taken far too long for far too many to open their eyes and accept the truth laid before them.

    Shooting women and children in the head, bombing hospitals, schools and homes for the elderly is not saving hostages or fighting terrorism. They are crimes against humanity. Their end goal is to fully ‘cleanse’ the Palestinian state of its people.

    Do you want to expand on that? Are you blaming Hamas for the actions of the Israeli state? Are you condoning the actions of the Israeli state?

    You need a history lesson. Perhaps for starters learn about the thousands of Palestinian women and children kidnapped and held illegally in Israeli jails over the past decade.

    Anyone defending either Russia or Israel clearly can't see what batshit leaders of there countries are.

    I keep saying it but until I see enough evidence to the contrary I can only take it that western governments are secretly happy with this as a solution because they simply won't outright condemn it. Instead they play a game of pretending like they object whilst secretly hoping Israel just gets on with it. Trump of course wants Gaza beachfront properties etc.

    They should all be in the dock in the Hague for aiding genocide.

    Dont vote for any party or MP who refuses to condemn this, unless you're a far right extremist.

    Two wrongs don't make a right you say. I agree. Hamas's actions in October 2023 and the 50,000+ Palestinians murdered/starved by the Israeli Government since then in retaliation, for example.

    It's important to remember that Hamas only exists because of the actions of the Israeli government, in the same way the IRA existed because of colonialism and the ANC because of apartheid.

    Netenyahu funded Hamas as a means to undermine the moderate PLOs requests for a 2 state solution because they didn't want one. Times of Israel article here

    Saw footage of Gaza from above on last nights news. It looks similar to Hiroshima or Berlin in WW2. I’m not sure the actions of a few justify such destruction to property and killing civilians.

    Collective punishment - targeting or devastating an entire population for the actions of a few - goes against the principles of proportionality and civilian protection in warfare. It's a genocide. They are war criminals. And everyone involved should be tried at The Hague.

The UN have called it genocide, Amnesty International have called it genocide, MSF and international law scholars have called it genocide, but should you have the temerity to point this out on X or Threads or wherever, then 'dave4jews' or some such will shriek 'ANTISEMITISM!' at you.     Years ago I had a business partner who was Jewish. Malcom was a nice enough bloke but he had one disturbing trait. It would crop up over lunch. Everyone was wary of going for lunch with him but business is business, it had to be done.

    Malcolm had a deep contempt for restaurant staff whose appearance was Middle Eastern. He’d complain his meal wasn’t what he wanted, underdone, overdone, cold etc etc and basically humiliate them.

    One day, right out of the. blue, he went too far. He stood up screaming and literally flung his plate at the waitress. There was a stunned silence as he ranted on, the girl in tears. I had to get hold of him tell him to shut the f**k up and calm down. He was literally shaking with anger. We left.

    Back at the office someone who was at the lunch told the story of how Malcom had blown up and what I’d said to him. One colleague thought about how I’d handled the situation and passed his opinion.

    “Bit antisemitic there weren’t you?”

    So there you go. In trying to stop an act of violence by a Jew I was labelled antisemitic.
