Expert googoglers or obsessive match day programme note takers, in their individual fan careers. Paul Wadd has this lovely, endearing habit of diverting a conversation on a new tangent to slip in an admittedly, interesting, historical fun fact, he’d been practicing for days. Likewise, how long does it take biglil to respond with accurate stats/evidence.? Gotta love the big fella!! x Personally, I prefer little memories. In an early game for me. Reds winning, but Tommy Graham still running down their goalie & heading the ball out of his hands before hitting the side netting from a very tight angle. I remember sprinting up Belgrave to the bus station after seeing that. Precious stuff.
When I first started watching Barnsley, I had become a bit of a Jonah for the team. They hadn't won at home on a Saturday, until Brighton & Hove Albion rolled into town, late September 1968. We beat them 4-0 (all the goals being scored in the second half at the Kop end), meaning I'd finally witnessed a victory. The fourth goal came from David Booth. He put in a high cross from the left and the ball sailed over the goalkeeper's head and into the net. From that day to this, David Booth has remained my favourite ever Barnsley left back.
