Some may remember I had my tooth extracted last Friday. And since I’ve developed dry socket ( worse pain I’ve ever had and I’m not joking ) Anyone else experienced this ? Just been back to dentist for it numbing and they have packed the opening with a gauge that smells and taste horrible . How long after this will the subside ?
I feel bad now that I didnt mention that as a side effect of having a tooth out. Should subside soon.
Only one?? You wuss! (not really..it's not much fun is it - is it time for a wee dram?) Try having several out, like yous truly. I had to have a new heart valve and because I had been such a naughty boy, not looking after my teeth properly, to minimise the risk of infected my bloodstream most of mine had to go. You well get better quite quickly, just as I did, just as others have said. Try to do something to take your mind off things.
I got dry socket when I had mine taken out due to smoking. Of I remember correctly I had to go back to the dentist for some antibiotics and was told to drink plenty of water and avoid hot drinks.
