Barnsley FC adamant they will not change course over transfer policy... So if we go down its goodbye to another few players who are of championship standard. I think I will wait til August to renew myseason ticket to see what happens (if at all)
If the fans vote with their feet they may be forced to re-think. Or sell on.... I think the latter may be their move.
Yes I read that. And it’s totally contrary to what Dane said last night. The recruitment will be changed if need be - and obviously the recruitment hasn’t succeeded this season. IMO - it only needed 2 of the 4 centre backs to click that were recruited in the summer and we wouldn’t be in this position. The whole season has been a flop because of the centre backs. That’s not saying they are bad players - because Halme is a good player and the other 3 should be good given time.
That's why I won't be renewing. It is a patent waste of time forming any attachment to these players or their ongoing development. Yes - the club is solvent, but who was it who spoke about knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing?
To me it shows that the board have no ambition to move the club forward. We are now just improving players for other clubs to reap the benefits whilst we, the supporters, have our own aspirations for the club dashed every transfer window. This was illustrated to me perfectly when Brad Potts was sold in January when Barnsley were pushing for promotion . Which other club who had an ounce of ambition would have done that. This board have no interest in moving the club forward just on not spending any of their money. No ambition. No empathy and no understanding or consideration of the fan base.
The boards only current ambition appears to be to give its ‘directors’ nice fat pay rises it seems...
And not what was in the article, this is only part of it, he also said they would as and when needed.
What he actually said: Murphy told The Yorkshire Post: “The philosophy is what it is and we have guidelines in our model. Are they hardline guidelines? No – they are soft. If the circumstances come where we have to step outside our parameters, we will do so as we showed in January.
And that, I'm afraid to say was my deduction whilst Patrick Cryne was the owner, he started the whole thing.
I did read the article . I am still not convinced that this board have anything other than making money and then moving on when things go wrong. As the fans of Nice FC. At least St.Mirren were spared by the generosity of a true fan who had a few bob to put into the club
