We were put into tier 3 for 2 weeks. They were to review that today. As they've now reviewed it but refuse to disclose the review till tomorrow are the tiers now unenforceable legally?
They're still sat in the bar that they categorised as a 'work canteen' in the HoP so it could still stay open with no track trace, signing in, face masks etc still making it up as they go along.
My thoughts are because the government has placed London in to tier 3 from tier 2 then any region in tier 3 will not go in to tier 2. Spite.
Well I thought more by complaining constantly to MPs, radio stations, TV, newspapers, petitions etc but I wouldn't be against pitchforks for some of them
I believe the legislation states the tiers and what they mean legally and goes into state that the areas put in a specific tier that will be reviewed to reflect new information but until the reviews are complete the authority remains in the tier allocated.
If 'darn sarf' is T3 there's no way us up North will be able to move. Apart from hospitality it's not even a lockdown imho. I got to the entrance of the Alhambra yesterday and turned and walked away it was so busy. Apart from prisons they're the lowest risk. Id much rather be sat evin a pint after track and trace, table service etc rather than shopping etc. Absolute load of ballax. Not saying there's no problem although the thought process behind the decisions absolutely baffles me.......
Can go to a supermarket Can go to a shopping centre Can go to a gym Can go to work Can't go to a well run socially distanced pub or restaurant. I can tell you now where I feel safer.
Then told the 4 day Christmas relaxed rules are still ok whilst scientists and researchers3say it may cause a third.major lockdown and.another spoke on cases and deaths. So the government say avoid contact where possible* *roughly translated to- so if any of your friends or relatives die of covid in January it's your fault not ours.
No Jay, unlike our French cousins across the channel who use direct action, such as blockading the ports, blocking motorways with bonfires and taking to the streets of Paris to ensure their voices are heard, us Brits find that a strongly worded letter to the correct government office tends to do the trick.
Rule 15 of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020 states that the regulations remain in place until the end of 2nd February 2021. The current tiers do not expire after 14 days but the Secretary of State must review the tiers every 14 days commencing on 16th December 2020. Unless or until he announces his decision (and presumably makes an order putting any alterations into effect) then we remain in Tier 3 up until the end of 2nd February 2021.
