I know its pointless as some people voted for him and still think he is great but a couple of tweets today made me really depressed so I thought why should I be the only one Leaving aside the Brexit one which has been done to death on here The government handling of the Corona Virus is quite concerning Wouldnt allow a minister on the Today program on R4 ( they are boycotting it for some reason) taking their time to consider a threat that could possibly kill tens or even hundreds of thousands of Britons apparantly we are not screening or giving any advice to air travellers arriving from China or Northern Italy for example - many other countries are doing this now Compare with the Blair handling of Foot and Mouth which is far less serious to humans - Daily cobra meetings and updates to the Media its a big concern that we have this group in charge - I find myself looking back to Teresa May and Jeremy Hunt and thinking I was wrong - it could be a lot worse
We can have bendy bananas now. I don't see what there is to worry about. Just give me the bendy bananas.
On the plus side - blue passports next month. We might get to enjoy these for a week or 2 before carking it on the floor of an understaffed and underfunded hospital.
I sometimes wish I'd voted Tory. They had a lovely sound bite 'get brexit done' and at the end of the day, flooding, viruses, global warming, food banks, northern infrastructure and nhs is all ******. Who gives a toss about anything like them when Boris has his sound bites? He deserves his holidays bless him. Leave the lad alone.
Allegedly some Penistone school kids came back from a skiing trip to Italy and one of them is in BDGH undergoing tests.
There was a guy who called in to 5 Live the other morning, said he flew back via Singapore and another airport. Both had lots of people checking temperatures with electronic thermometers. When he arrived at Heathrow there was no testing, no information, no nothing. Cummings and Patel are too busy fighting civil servants and Boris has been largely absent since before the flooding. Had this been Corbyn and Labour you can only imagine the reaction. If this does get widespread I'm not sure how the NHS will cope. There were only 15 free beds in the entire NHS for severe conoravirus patients should they be needed. 10 years of Tory austerity could get very real, very fast. Here's hope it doesn't....
