Unbelievable. 1-0 down after playing well in the first half

Wonder what’s the odds of one per game for the rest of the season as that’s the way it seems to be going now.

At least this one was a bit more clear cut. Hand ball following Edwards' unfortunate injury.

I know. It’s we just don’t seem to get the rub of the green at either end at the moment.

We never look like saving one either. Zero confidence in us keeping the pen from the net. Might as well give them a goal without the penalty to save time.

Pens are all pretty much at the advantage of the taker. The keeper needs to be lucky more than anything to save one. Can go the right way and still get done above or below etc.

Nobody looks like saving them at any club really.

It's completely unacceptable. I'd assume Duff is fuming with the players and rightly so.

I've watched the BBC highlights several times and I cant see a handball. I guess the angle must be wrong.

Wolfe definitely jumps with his hand above his head for some unknown reason.
The ball passes very close to his hand but it's debatable if he makes contact with it.

I’m having trouble seeing it as a deliberate hand ball but I think referees have us marked down for one a game now, no matter what

It's not about whether it is deliberate these days (most handballs in the box aren't deliberate). All about where the arm is. Wolfe's arm is in the air, so if he does touch the ball with his arm, it's a penalty, unless the ref sees a free kick the other way for a foul on him.

I'd say 9 times out of 10, if that happens the other way, the defender goes to ground and wins a free kick. See also Mads' red card against Bolton.

Another caveat to add to that is....its not a penalty if the defender has his hand in the air....if its to us!!!

Im the same I even tried stepping through but the quality is too poor to be sure. Only thing is why was Wolfes hand up there anyway unless he had been pushed its not a natural position. Like all the previous pens in the last 4 games I doubt it would have been given at the other end

It wasn't up because he was pushed, I've gone through the frame by frame thing again and he jumps with his arms up there presumably to get leverage to go higher. Ball hits him (well it moves slightly in the air anyway) so it's his own silly fault. Can't fault the ref, Wolfe shouldn't be jumping like that.

Doesn’t a player get a flick on that takes it onto his hand. Again doubt it would have been given the other way around. As someone said the other day if things even themselves out we should be in for one hell of a 2nd half of the season.
