FA burden of proof liable to be lower. They may take civil standard i.e. on balance of probabilities as opposed to beyond reasonable doubt.
Argentina-born ex-Italy youth international Forestieri is free to play pending the outcome of his appeal. is what the bbc report says https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49182945. and we all know how long they take to bugger about, he will play against us you see.
Yep, Judge for case said he had no doubt it happened, but there wasn’t enough evidence to convict. FA doesn’t need to prove beyond doubt only reasonable
I’d like to think they’ll have to and the only reason they haven’t so far is because investigations are ongoing.
surely if he is indeed prosecuted then they will be forced to take action, and surely Fleetwood will get rid.
Not what happened. The police built a case - the PCS thought it was worth a trial. The Judge believed that the victim firmly believed he'd been racially abused - but with one mans word against another - there wasn't enough evidence to convict 'beyond reasonable doubt'. For a civil case such as the FA or an employer; guilt only needs to be found 'in the balance of probability', a much lesser weight of evidence.
