Had an absolutely belting day and evening out in Nottingham, tainted only by the 90 mins of football where I tore most of my hair out at our inability to play a decent final ball.
Seemed to have plenty of chances , it looked like the finishing was the problem to me but that’s watching on telly I wasn’t there so will take your word for it .
My (admittedly poor) overriding memory was of Thomas getting down their flank time and time again, to his credit, but then failing to pick out anyone in a Barnsley shirt - that will partly have been down to poor positioning from those in the box as well. We did miss a couple of good chances too. Played well overall but just couldn't finish.
This has been our achilles heel this season. We've not been outplayed or outclassed very often, if at all, but we've committed suicide at the back or switched off at key points in a game far too many times.
Definitely at championship level. We would have got away with many of the mistakes we have made in league one but not in the championship.
