for two reasons.... 1. any new players we sign or loan will have best part of a fortnight to come in and find their feet with their new club mates and coaching team etc 2. we have a few players with some injury niggles, gives the medical guys time to work with them and get them fit again. so as I say for once the international break is scheduled that helps the teams of the top two tiers at least. I know we all want to get on with it and have football week in week out, but being in the top two tiers does mean that when the breaks come it does give us a chance to take a breathe and recover etc... It may be argued that it could disrupt momentum, but I guess there are always swings and roundabouts in every situation.
