This term thrown around by the ESL clubs chairmen and generally in relation to football is really ****ing me off.

The money made throughout football, especially at the upper echelons is vast.. but yet they say in its current guise football is unsustainable.. it doesnt make sense..
So they find a way to make more money, now ESL has died a death theyll try and fond something else, all that will happen and wouldve happened is transfer fees go up. One of the top clubs come in for a player, add a zero to the price.. All that happens is the more money in the game the more they spend.
These business people arent running it like a business, their incomes have dropped, so why not cut their cloth accordingly? Come the summer theyll be spending 50/60/70 million maybe more on transfers but then say they dont earn enough.

Football is sustainable (as we prove) if you run it the right way, why isnt this being screamed from social media, news outlets etc? If you aint got it and dont predict you have it, dont spend it!! How hard can it be?

Man Utd's long statement about this was laughable / disgusting. "Saving football" my Harris.

The last year and a bit obviously has been a bit different. But otherwise, if you're not sustainable you need to reign in your spending. It's not rocket science, it's hardly high school level economics.

Agreed mate. It made me laugh (ironically) when Arsenal laid off 50 staff last summer, then went out and spent 50 Million plus on new players.

I'd like to see Erling Haaland in one of the Premier League teams, but I see articles where he wants to be the first 1 million per week player, or he is asking for 35 million per year.

It is just getting ridiculous and the big clubs are making the game unsustainable and growing the gap between the top teams and all others to irreparable levels.

I'm all for someone signing haaland, messi, mbappe et al. Aslong as they can afford it and dont then spend the next 10 years crying poverty and saying football is unsustainable.
    It does my head in!
Barca according to some reports are a billion pounds/euros/dollars whatever in debt.. but want to give messi a new deal and sign more new players in the summer.. its absurd and in my opinion disgusting. No other business could, or would be allowed to, operate like it, so why can football clubs?
