Is this something the club could do? Huddersfield Town do it and from what I can see the collection part is easy. Some of the people who attend our Employability Project in Huddersfield help staff the collection points, (which are basically dustbins), in return for a free match ticket. The proceeds, from supporters, (tins, packet food, sanitary items, etc) are then collected by the charities offering soup kitchens/ food points in Kirklees. If the Supporters Trust / Football Club were to look into this, I may be able to provide volunteers next season, as we are hoping to run a new Employability course for adults with a learning disability in Barnsley, next year.
