Collins - confidence gone in distributing. Shaky. Full backs - weak in the tackle. Confidence gone Andersen - weak in the tackle. And in the air. Can't pass water. Sollbauer- hard to tell. Clearly we let 4 in so not a great debut. Cut him some slack though at the moment Halme - see Andersen Ritzmailer- see Halme Thomas - anonymous. At best Brown- see Thomas but tried harder Woodrow - touch was miles off today. Extra credit for his worldie. Better to come when he gets fully fit. Chaplin - see brown/Thomas. Nice finish though. Mowatt - decent. If we don't win next week it's curtains for me. To be fair pompey were much better than a lot of championship teams I've seen. But we have to be much better / stronger. Their CH who got motm was superb - strong, won everything and scored. Take note.
Collins just doest look like the same player since been dropped over that miss kick, i dont think playing him in a leaky defence is going to help him either.
The same miss kick that radlinger then did twice and didnt get dropped once mind boggles. Struber talks a good one but the jury still out for me.
Hilarys still have their (eternal) sale. For your curtains. It was quite comical to see Williams J finally get done for a foul throw, then after that forget actually to throw it. With Collins' goal-for-you-just- let-me-hit-your-arse effort, we're picking goalies based upon how bad their previous effort was, not how good they are. And our set piece marking was as bad as I can remember. That's down to the Chief.
Next week is a very similar game in that we're up against a side we were slugging it out with in League One last year (and very likely next year). They held us at Oakwell, and I can foresee a point at best. After that it's the Sad Owls, and despite their patchy form of late I really see us getting blown away in that match. One point from six in those two games and I think we're done. Not being a negative Nelly here - that's genuinely what I expect to happen.
