We need at least one decent centre half, a right back and another striker, but be brave and turn down any bids for our players. With those three additions and what we have we can do well this season. Very well. So when teams come sniffing around DKD, Connell, Phillips and Russell, cos they will, just tell them to do one and keep them. Please!
We're two proper centre backs and a credible back up for McGoldrick from being serious contenders in my book. Trouble is we've been two proper centre backs short for two years now.
I rarely get carried away, and I said earlier that I won't be taking much notice of the league table yet. Not until after at least 6 games anyway. And I will also say again, that a Cup run is good, but the League is always the main priority. With that being said though, I agree with the comments on here. Yeah maybe we aren't that far away from being a competitive squad again, this season. We're going to need some more new signings, and also importantly, we're going to need to hang onto our more valued players, if possible.
Christ on a bike, are you serious? Poor first half, but he wasn't alone in that. Second half - took responsibility and played just as well as at Plymouth. Luca Connell playing well will be a key factor in whether we challenge for promotion this season.
