Beaten by a Swansea team that seemed to be very talented in the dark arts, helped by a truly dreadful referee. It has to be said, though, Young Walton was very lucky not to see red for that barmy challenge in the first half. However, the frustration has to be balanced against how far we come as a team in a relatively short time. I thought we looked what we are, a mid table Championship side. Plenty of ability & commitment on show and looking at home at this level.
I'm sure we can play better than we did today, but we're far in front of what we were seeing just a short time since.

Don't be too disappointed though mate :)

I thought Woodrow was being manhandled by their defenders all first half and got pulled up for it himself on more than one occasion. Truly one sided by the referee today and such a poor pitch to play on. We move on to next week after 7 days rest for the players. Hope they'll come out firing on Boxing Day! :)

Never a bad sign that we’re frustrated at losing away to the team sat 4th in the championship. Do well in the next two games and it will all be forgotten, just like the Brentford and Bournemouth games.

Its fine margins, If we had got an equaliser when we were on top during a decent 15 minute spell in the first half ,I reckon we would have picked up a point. The problem I see that doesn't get mentioned is thst our back three looked absolutely knackered at the end of the game . The front three get rotated but the back line get no respite whatsoever.

That's exactly it, we are competitive in almost every game these days and looked more than comfortable today against a solid championship team.
Can't help but think there's some room for improvement upfront, which hopefully might come from our own players.
But as disappointing as it was to lose theres nothing to beat ourselves up about.

Shows the lack of balance in the squad. Jordan Williams is the only realistic cover for Brittain, Sollbauer and Andersen in this formation, once he got injured the squad looked a lot thinner at the back.

It's interesting that Valerien Ismael in one of his press conferences this week was saying that he hoped we'd bring in a central defender as a priority, especially as Aapo Halme & Jordan Williams being out injured at the moment.

Woodrow seems to get very little from referees when up against centre haifs.

I'm not sure chopping and changing the back 3 would be a good idea, it's not as if they cover the same ground as the rest of the team. I think they were just up against some pacy attackers today that probably made them look a bit leggy.

Well Windass must have made us look leggy last week, then that goal with mix up with Kane and Solbauer we have been slow at the back for a while.

There's no doubt that some folk will be quick to criticise their favourite 'targets', Walton, Woodrow, Sollbauer, Mowatt, Chaplin, Andersen, Helik, Frieser, even Ismael.:D If they do it when we win, they'll do it when we lose!:D

Exactly mate, the mind boggles sometimes. 5 months ago to the very day we were relegated - dead and buried - League 1. Now we're in 13th place in the Championship - mid table. 34 points in 22 games. Some people are never happy! :)

Brian Clough said to Don Revie, " I want to do it better". When you stop and pause for thought you come unstuck.

JLWBigLil. About the reference to roses. My Dad says Brian Clough had a centre forward with an over zealous Dad who went to Clough and asked why his son wasn't playing. Clough said he's doing a better job preening my roses.

It's got to be folklore hasn't it?
