Even before the madness of the summer transfer window my expectations now of our club and team for next season are very high. So the vote isnt for what i think will happen next season but what i expect should happen.
Too early in my opinion. I'm not making any kind of statement until we know the squad that starts the season.
Same too early to judge. If we keep this squad and add some competition for Cole and Norwood top 2 but duffs already admitted players will go.
I understand that the question is after last season and the improvement in the boardroom what are your expectations of the club now?
Keep Duff and Connell and I think we should have realistic expectations of topping the pile. Maybe we won't, but that should be the aim. Falling short and finishing second would be more than acceptable!
I am so confident now about our club as a whole that we are going in the right direction and we will be too strong for the rest of league 1 and I expect us to win it. As you say promotion in any manner is more than acceptable.
I think the future of the club is far more safer and secure than just over 12 months ago. As for next season, I have no idea what situation we'll be in with regards to the playing & coaching side. Therefore, I'm quite relaxed in having no expectations. However, that'll certainly alter over the coming weeks.
Agreed. Before then it’s much harder. If we sell Mads Connell Williams Kitching and Duff goes we will struggle to be top half. If we keep Duff and only lose Mads and Styled we should be aiming for Automatic and outside top 6 would be disappointing.
Be good to do this again just before first game of the 23/24 season to see how the summer has impacted people’s views and how the figures compare. Hopefully we have a really good summer to build on what has been a really good season.
All depends if Duff and some key players are still here or how good the replacements are, we really need to learn from Play offs to relegated next season after Val left. Again hard to judge opposition before signings are made but can’t see any competition outside Derby, Peterborough, Charlton and Exeter, can’t see Carlisle, Orient, Northampton, Stevenage, Reading or Wigan troubling us Blackpool not sure which way they will go but really expect Reading to bomb and Wigan on minus 8 and potential further sanctions or even doing a Bury but who knows? Slowly getting over Monday’s hurt ( will never recover) but looking forward to a few weeks off until we start to see lads back training then new signings then can look forward to next season, was apathetic last due to off field issues leading to not getting a season ticket, that said think i only missed 2 or 3 home games so shot myself in foot to some degree.
Can’t say what my expectations are until I know if Duff is staying. Definitely top 6 if he is but if not I’m less certain.
One thing I can feel confident of, is whoever leaves, the approach to replacing them will be more considered than the one that brought us Schopp, Oulare and Iseka. We should be competing for top 6 come what may.
