Nah, way too finicky. At least three "fouls" were wrong. Soft, players throwing their legs out to catch boot, that's obstruction in my book. Players kicking their heels and going down, that's simulation. And footballers getting injured by being in proximity with the opposition? Grow up and grow some balls.
Good ref definitely. He had few hard calls to make, but was right 95% of the time, That's all you can ask.
I don't recall which game it was now, but he was constantly stopping and starting. Blowing up for every 50/50. I think it might have been an Italy game in the group stage. Most other referee's have let the game flow. I don't think it was a particularly bad performance, but it stands out in a tournament where the refereeing (and VAR) have been fairly good.
