Odour, Halme, Mowatt, Woodrow and Chaplin are up to it, alas the rest it would seem are probably not Maybe Brown could be
I'd be happy enough with Radlinger and Collins too. Our centre halves are very entertaining if that's what you like.....
No spending imo. Another win tonight might have pressured the board but it looks certain to me that we're going down and they won't want extra championship wages to pay.
I’m inclined to agree tbh , We reverted back to type defence wise tonight after I thought we’d turned a corner , Defenders racing around like the proverbial headless chicken fir not much pressure from a bottom half team with one icon that may give them a bit of quality . It was like they’d forgotten to take their tablets and midfield and forwards decided they’d pass to the opposition instead of our own players .
It was disappointing tonight as we have been better in recent games, but too many players nowhere near the level required tonight. Like you I thought we’d turned that corner, hopefully just a blip but it’s a lot of hope.
It's lack of confidence up front that costs us. There are more times than i care to remember that we get into good positions on the break or near the box and don't even create a chance. Derby in the same positions fathomed up three chances for Marriot before he scored. Schmidt gets slated but we don't get it in the mixer for him. Woodrow has been shoe horned into the tip of the diamond to get him on the ball such is our lack of creativity. It needs simplifying for them. Winger runs down wing and crosses ball into box and the striker tries to get on the end. It needs Mowatt and Halme mopping up the scraps not Diaby and Andersen. We're playing too high up the pitch. We had big opportunities where Mowatt was ahead of the ball instead of on the edge of the box. These balls were dropping to Halme, Diaby or Andersen and they shouldn't be. I dont think enough players know their roles.
