    On the subject of evenings with ex Reds, on Friday 7th October it's the Stainborough Cricket Club annual dinner, starring John Hendrie. 2 course meal, Barnsley's own Dave Cooper, comedian Mick Martin, auction, raffle, fun and games, and beer.

    £35 per head to include all the above (except auction, raffle, fun, games and beer), at the Fairway in Dodworth, Friday October 7th, 7pm until late.

    Let me explain.

    Fun, like sex, comes in two versions, free and paid for. Free fun is usually more fun than paid for fun. Free sex, on the other hand, is far more expensive than paid for sex. It's more fun though.
