Even Oxford would have seen us off, and that's a complement to them.

Could we have beaten them? On current form, no.
A thoroughly engrossing and enjoyable game.

Not a chance - Oxford were excellent.
No cake walk for the Reds next year.
A few years in the wilderness.

Was it just me that thought the Newcastle winner was down to the muppet that played on the left for Oxford not looking to his right when he broke away and then needlessly losing the ball and making no effort to win it back?

I thought Oxford made a mistake taking Brannagan off, who was excellent and replacing him with Thorne. They seemed to loose a little momentum after that.
Also how are Oxford picking up players like Kelly? How did our brilliant recruitment team finding gems like that him? He was busy and industrious, looked a little over weight but can that lad pass and hit a ball!

Apparently the spreadsheet doesn't recognise the name 'Liam Kelly' - Little Lee Jonno's still trying to convince it to get his mate from Oldham with the same name!

Elliott Moore still looking a great prospect for Oxford. Tipped him on here as someone we should have gone for last month. Hope we go for him in the summer. Before last night he'd been part of a defence that had kept six clean sheets in their last ten matches.

Wish we had signed some solid defenders from division 1 once we let Pinnock go . At least they know how to defend

You lot live in cloud cuckoo land. Just listen to yourselves !
They don't even have Austrian sounding names for a start, unless you juggle the letters around.

Does make you wonder how far some of our defenders would have to drop before finding a level they could cope at.

Conceded 3 v Carlisle, 4 v Pompey and Crewe missed a sitter in the first half after comedic pile up. Free header for their equaliser.

Just how cheaply are we getting some of these players if they are being favoured over lower league defenders?

I always thought Matty Pearson was very limited and wasn’t sad when he left, but I’d trust him ahead of diaby and Anderson if dropping into league 1.

Just watched the extended highlights v charlton on Sky.... both goals are absolute dogger defending. But the second one, everyone is just stood around wondering who will pick up the ball... then seem surprised when it’s a Charlton player. Oxford would batter us on yesterday’s showing, and that’s not a compliment to them...

Just watched highlights too . We should have got at least a point with chances we had . If we learn to defend , we still have a chance of staying up this season
