There's been lots of discussion recently about whether our style of play is entertaining. Here's my points system for evaluating how entertaining our games are:-

    Shot on target: 3 points
    Woodwork: 5 points
    Tackle: 2 points
    Save: 1 point
    Long throw: 2 points
    Goal: 8745 points
    Red card: -10 points
    Win: 47563429 points

I for one sir refuse to judge a mans entertainment value by the strength by his tackle!!

    Couldn’t agree more.

Anyone that isn’t entertained by us winning 6 in a row probably needs to reevaluate whether football is the sport for them.

I think it’s possible to be entertained by a defeat or by a draw, but I find it hard to not be entertained when we win.

It's nice to win, even nicer to win playing like Brazil but that's stating the obvious. With our resources I'm very happy to take what we're doing.
We've got an outstanding team and should be proud.

I'm entertained by the way we play to a system. It may not be pretty but seeing a sports team really buy in to a style of play is really impressive, and I think people massively underestimate how difficult that is. There's a reason all the ex-pros are really impressed by what we're doing, because to get a team to really adopt and apply a system so effectively is very rare. It's like watching the All Blacks. Sometimes they don't play the prettiest rugby, but they are relentless. It's entertaining to me to see us apply our gameplan and dominate another professional team.

    This^
It might not be the silkiest of footwork, but it’s a joy to watch this team out of possession.

And there’s still moments of individual class, from last night; both Mowatt’s goal and his pass for the 3rd goal are as good a touch as anything I’ve seen at Oakwell.

Not to mention the commitment to giving everything that this team have. How can you not love a team prepared to run their blood to water game after game.

How can you fail to be ‘entertained’ by a team still pressing for goals in the 90th minute when they’re already in front?

How many fans are disappointed when their team try to sit on a lead, or even a draw?

This is what I absolutely love about this team. I’ve grown up with Barnsley teams going 1-0 up and then running it into the corner in the 80th minute. Not this team. They go for the jugular.

Totally agree here. We're bullying teams with our tactics and the opposition don't know how to respond, yet. We're playing with 10 men in the opposition half of the field, that's a very high press. I haven't seen anyone do this to teams. We'll come unstuck soon, it can't go on forever. So enjoy the ride and the results and see where it takes us :)

It's never occurred to me to try that, might give it a go some time. Need to make sure I avoid a red though.

The brown is hidden behind the pink.
