Hopefully for the sake of the live crowd paying around 100 quid a ticket, they get to see plenty of action.
Went to a game at Headingley in 1999 WC (week after son was born) and I believe I paid £15 for my ticket.
Have a good day Ark. Love watching a good days cricket when I'm in Scarborough. Ashamed to say, I've never ever been to Headingley. Having said that, even though my cousin was the Councillor who headed up the Race Committee and I lived around twenty minutes away, I never went to a race meeting in Doncaster although I did see the horses go past from the free course part of the track. Once got called in to the main office in Doncaster to see if we could broker a deal on the back of the Council's in the North contract for Gas from British Gas and Electricity through nPower for around ten courses in the U.K. The request was refused on the grounds of finance. I was told later by an Account Manager they didn't have a pot to .... in, which was a surprise. Regarding the game at Headingley I think that we should get the 234 runs needed to win the game. Just hope we can avoid any further injuries. Do you fancy us to go on and win the overall competition.
Much prefer a game at Scarborough than Headingley. New stand looks great though. The novelty of the Sri Lankan brass band soon wore off
Those who took England at 1/12 before it started will be having a panic now. With our last three games being the best three opponents it's not yet guaranteed we will reach the semi finals.
Don't know what Wood was playing at. He had one ball to see off that wasn't even hitting the stumps and he goes and hits it.
You can't blame wood for that... The team had the Billy big b**locks attitude after we beat them in their own back yard last winter. Exactly the same as the Pakistan debacle. Get their heads from up their own backsides. Simple..
