The manager that any young English manager/ Head coach should aspire to emulate? Watching The Premier League Show. Great to listen to and the way Bournemouth go about things is something I hope Barnsley look at.
He's done very well but why can't Hecky just do it his own way. If he took us up and we survived in the premier division would you be saying young managers should emulate Hecky
Doesn't surprise me you want us to do things Bournemouth do as they are a club with a billionaire owner who bought promotion by spending millions and millions more than they earn in their little ground of poorly attended (sold out granted) matches. He's OK as a manager but not sure he's as great as people make him out to be, especially not future England manager anytime soon. Only done it at one club with low expectations, had pretty much an open cheque book for players and was poor at Burnley where he got homesick in no time at all.
I'd love for people to say that Andy, why? because that almost certainly that means he's done well at Barnsley. Does he speak well, he does. I've spoken to him a few times from when he was with the u18's/ u21's abut a few different things. It's more than that though for me. I really enjoy watching Bournemouth as a team. The way they play and the type of players they have recruited.
Lots of similarities between us and Bournemouth. Good managers, that play football in an attractive passing fashion. Neither club are "fashionable" and both doing better than expected in our respective divisions. To be fair to them they didn't spend big to get into the prem, but they're certainly chucking money at it to stay there. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Oh I know that. Just saying they've only really chucked money at it since they got up there. They got into prem by spending very little. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk

So you dont think Hecky is good to listen to and you dont think Barnsley go about things the right way? In my view what we have now at Barnsley is something many would envy - we play attractive attacking football, we are signing young players developing them and selling them on to higher leagues for a profit. And have a clear way of operating that doesnt rely(much) on billionaires investing lots of extra money into the club. Dont get me wrong I like Eddie Howe and he is good with the Media and his teams over achieve and play good football but do you think that without the financial backing he has had he could have got Bournemouth to the prem.
Their overspending was the elephant in the room blatantly not mentioned. He's done a good job without a doubt but as you say could he have done it without the club breaking the rules?
I rate Eddie Howe, he put together an excellent side to get promotion and so far so good for keeping them there. But he's only had success at Bournemouth. Really struggled at Burnley if I recall, but there may have been family issues affecting him while he was there.
Decent manager Eddie Howe but don't find anything to aspire to in Bournemouth in fact quite the opposite. Would rather us stay with our current plan and get relegated than overspend by 40 million quid and get promoted to Premiership. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hemsie only made this post to highlight all the youngsters he's bought from "big" clubs, no point in discussing it with any logic
