Why were most of the seats in this block not put on sale for the Newcastle game, yet supporters were allowed to occupy it on the night? I could have understood if it had been left empty for segregation.

Isn't that the block that was put on sale the day or so before the game. Couple hundred or so tickets.

I'm sure someone posted on here about it the other day.

It's the block nearest the away end. A strip of seats was made available in it, but most of it wasn't released. On the night they let people spread out into those unavailable seats anyway.

my brother has a ST in the EL7.

Last season when there was a 'big' match he had to move from that section. This was because the Police wanted it empty. due to its proximity to the away end.
Often the police didn't make that decision until the day before the match. I guess the Club would not sell tickets for this section in case supporters would have to be found alternate seats at the last minute.

It adds to the annoyance of seats appearing to be sold that haven't been and whole sections not being opened at all without explanation. There will be quite a few supporters who have had to get seats with a poorer view because of it.
