    Nearly fell off me chair at this rumour I heard this morning. Supposedly from "someone who knows". If it happens "I'll stand t' Drop o' York!" As we used to say.

    Slightly wrong. Kompany has been linked with the Spurs job. If that did happen I am sure Duff would be on the Burnley radar and he couldn't turn down top flight management.

    Burnley are Prem bound and Duff doesn't have the experience needed at that level yet.
    The one job I fear him fancying if it comes up is Bristol City.
    A decent sized club with good potential and close to his family base.

    I agree totally.
    Bristol are also an ambitious club and would be a natural stepping stone for him.

    Remember when Shaun O'Dismal turned us down, in January '13 (in what turned into the Flicker escape act season) ?.
    He then joined Bristol City who were bottom of the table, and they finished bottom. But he said he chose them because they were/are the most stable club and ambitious club, out of all the clubs who had offered him the job at that time.
    And they sacked him the following season. :D
