I wish It were so and he came back with the promise of the players he wants , I’d put heavy money on an assault on championship promotion if it were so . Ps next season I meant
Don't think owners would swallow their pride and admit they made a mistake...they are not that kind. Plus would Daniel Stendel want to return here with the present owners still pulling the strings.?I think not.
Barnsley was only ever going to be a temporary stepping stone for Stendel. Even if the owners wanted him back, I’d be surprised if he didn’t already have more attractive opportunities lined up.
Weren’t he out of work twelve months before taking the Barnsley job . That’s as I understood it anyway. If it’s true I can’t see many big opportunities coming his way on the back of our promotion tbh. That’s not to say he won’t get a job on that basis but I doubt a top job will come his way . If the board had backed him though I think he’d have got us promotion to the prem just my hunch but that really would have got him recognition.
I think he was only out of management after Hanover, so to speak, because he chose to take a consulting role at Arsenal
I understood that he was still being paid by Hanover ie still under contract, which is why we didn’t see him at Oakwell for about six weeks or so after his appointment was first announced
So you don’t think getting automatic promotion at the first time of asking has enhanced his employment prospects? Yet you do think he would have taken Barnsley to the premier league? You are totally clueless on both points.
I didn’t say it wouldn’t enhance his employment prospect I said a top job read before you print . And yes I think he would have taken us up with the momentum that was created.
@Marlon I said that I’d be surprised if Stendel didn’t already have more attractive opportunities lined up. Then you said that he wouldn’t, because he’d been out of a job before coming to Barnsley. Of course more opportunities will be open to him off the back of what he has achieved at Barnsley. It is ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
